Are you a U.S. eBay seller who is considering offering your product to our neighbors in Canada? Here are just a few tips and pieces of information for you!
You can visit the Canada Post website directly here:
You can use your U.S. customs number to check status on the Canada Post website.
Other important information about Canada postal codes:
Don’t know whether that one symbol in the postal code is the letter “l” or the number “1″ ?
Just remember - The postal code always alternates letters and numbers so if there is a number first then the symbol, you’ll know right away that it must be an alphabet letter.
You can call Canada Post directly at: 1-416-979-8822
International priority mail, as well as express mail, comes with AUTOMATIC indemnity insurance. Check with the post office to confirm the amount of automatic insurance (amount is based on the weight of the package). You can also purchase additional insurance. Insurance claims for non-delivery are made by the shipper and claims of damage are initiated by the recipient.
The customs number for international priority mail can be used on www.usps.com to confirm delivery.
However, if you accept paypal, the international express mail shipping service to a confirmed Paypal address (for Powersellers, address doesn’t have to be confirmed) is the ONLY way that you will be covered by the Paypal seller protection plan when shipping by postal service.
