eBay Headquarters to be Relocated by the end of October 2008

Today, I spoke to someone “in the know” about eBay Inc and I got THE TRUTH about what is currently going on at eBay Headquarters.
I’ve been told by the person “in the know” that eBay is in negotiations to acquire a new building in San Jose to be used as the corporate headquarters.  The real estate to be acquired in San Jose, California, is the current Winchester House located at 525 Winchester Blvd in San Jose.  According to Wikipedia, this piece of real estate is “renowned for its size and utter lack of any master building plan” and when the previous owners sold the house, “the place was so puzzling that it was said that the workers took more than six weeks just to get the furniture out of it.”
The Winchester Mystery House is reported to be a rambling, 160-room unfinished and unfurnished house built by Sarah Winchester, heiress to the Winchester Rifle fortune. The mansion includes such curiosities as staircases leading to nowhere and doors in the floor.
The “person in the know” who shared this information with me gave me some details about the conversion plans as well.  The two rooms, known currently as the Goofies and Hayloft, will be made into the new Bobblehead rooms where the great collection of eBay Bobbleheads will be displayed.  Tours will be available to the public for only a low admittance fee of 35 cents, good until the end of the year.  No word yet as to whether the admittance fee cost is permanent or only temporary.
The eBay CEO will have a spacious office in what was formerly known as The Seance Room as this will allow him to keep thinking up the great “disruptive innovation ideas” in solitude, receiving his out-of-this-world guidance uninterrupted.
The eBay Trust and Safety will be housed in the former room known as The Hall of Fires.
Known as one of the most haunted areas of the Winchester House, the Servant’s Call Room will become the offices of the eBay Customer Service staff.
This move to new eBay corporate offices, with a scheduled move-in date of October 31, is not expected to result in any cost savings or improved efficiency but, rather, it is being made so that the new offices will more closely reflect the current eBay corporate climate and culture.  I am told that this move is part of the overall master plan to continue turning eBay into something unrecognizable.

Lots of real news starts out as “spoof” articles first… like that one about some alleged hacker being captured for instance.
I forget his name.

Geeze – until you started describing the officer suits I thought you were serious and was appalled that eBay had ruined a great tourist attraction along with everything they have ruined. LOL

The best match is still broken
