Just a Few Things To Ponder on a Monday

1. Yesterday I wrote an article titled eBay Sellers Now can Limit Buyers to Purchasing Only One Item every 10 Days and when I used Twitter to inform my followers about the article, one follower had this to say about my Tweet:

eBay has established a seller performance scorecard where sellers are motivated to sell less to each buyer in order to reduce their risk of being restricted or suspended from the eBay site.

2. eBay recently announced a program where they are labelling the “best” performing sellers as Top Sellers.

Most of the time consumers associate the term “Top Sellers” with a retailer’s best selling products.

3. Anyone who is a little confused the eBay Top Seller program can purchase some helpful information from an eBay seller.

Of course, eBay does say in its voluminous rule pages that all items listed with Buy Now must be at least $1.00 and that digitally delivered items (ebooks) are not allowed to be offered for sale on the platform.  But, I guess Top Sellers are not required to adhere to these lower level policies which is why this ebook about Top Sellers is being sold for 99 cents Buy Now on the eBay site.

4.  Morningstar reports the top 5 fund owners of a publicly traded stock.  For eBay, the average star ratings of the top 5 fund owners is 2.6 and for Amazon the average star ratings of the top 5 fund owners is 4.0

Kinda makes you go Hmmmmm…….

So lower grade investors have their money on EBAY while higher grade investors have their money on AMZN?

Makes sense to me. I’m putting most all my time into the river. The Bay went and dried up and what’s left is infested with deadly bacteria. Swim in the bay at your own risk.
